ACTS 9 Report (April 8, 2020)
Dear Williamsport Church Family,
ACTS 9 is truly grateful for the extraordinary gift of money that will be used to purchase food for our clients and help with any added expenses at ACTS 9. It is because of people like you, with a generous heart and spirit of love and compassion that ACTS 9 exists today. Jesus said, "Because you have done this to the least of these, my brethren, you have done it unto Me." I’m sure you will receive special blessings from above.
We were thrilled on Tuesday, April 7, when Frank and Anita Jacobs brought us a van filled with pancake mix, syrup, and various other food items. A short time later Joleen Cunningham arrived at ACTS 9 with her SUV filled with canned fruit, canned vegetables, spaghetti sauce, and soap for our clients. These are the biggest requested items from our clients, but they won’t be around too long because our client base is beginning to expand rapidly due to the layoffs caused by the COVID-19 virus. Our area in Hagerstown is starting to see the effects of the downturn in the economy as more and more jobs are lost, temporarily we hope.
Your volunteers at ACTS 9 will not act presumptuously in thinking that we will be protected by our heavenly Father no matter how we protect ourselves. We will continue to operate under the new guidelines given to us: such as the use of masks and gloves. We know that as we are doing the will of our Father, He will protect us.
Please keep us in your prayers and may God abundantly bless you all.
Hugs to all of you from your volunteers,
Cliff Kathy Connie Mary Ellen Charlie Don Sue Michael Helga
